Central NY Mobile Marketing Launches ‘CNY Business Builders’ Seminar Series
Business-Builders-GraphicOTSEGO COUNTY, NY (05/13/14): Central New York Mobile Marketing (CNYMM), a local business providing online marketing services, will pilot a new seminar series, CNY Business Builders, on Thursday, June 12 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Elks Club Lodge in Oneonta.

The Business Builders events invite leaders and business owners in our region to share their expertise to support networking and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.  Each event will be held at different venues, and proceeds from admissions and donations at each event will support a different area non-profit.  The pilot event will showcase the newly-renovated Elks Lodge in Oneonta and 100% of admission donations will support Environmental Education efforts of the Friends of Glimmerglass State Park through their Nature Center.  Register today to attend the event at www.cnymobilemarketing.com/business-builders.

“Many of our region’s small businesses have struggled to survive over the last decade and despite reported improvements in our economy, they continue to struggle”, said Susan O’Handley, President and Founder of Central NY Mobile Marketing.  “These events can serve as a catalyst for growth by providing networking and learning opportunities that utilize the friendly guidance of successful business owners and resources within their community.”

Speakers for the pilot event on June 12 include Joel Staples of Bishop Printshop on the new USPS Every Door Direct Mail program; Barbara Ann Heegan of the Otsego County Chamer of Commerce on the Chamber’s role in marketing support; Lorraine Briggs, owner of the Owl and Moon boutique retail shop in West Burlington on how to succeed when your business is ‘off the beaten path’; and Susan O’Handley, Central NY Mobile Marketing, on mobile marketing and business communications as well as a collaborative ShopLocal initiative scheduled to launch in July.

CNY Business Builders Seminars are planned for three times each year (June, October and February). Upcoming topics include Cross Promotion – Working with other Businesses to help each other with Marketing; Supporting the Non-Profit Community – Leveraging the Relationships between the Public and Private Sectors; and Success without Parking – How to Fill Your Business with Customers when you only have Four Parking Spots.  Local business owners with something to share, venues with a site for a future seminar location and non-profits that could use support are all encouraged to contact Susan O’Handley to be a part of future CNY Business Builders events.
